SpongeBob wants to leave, but Larry is now demonstrating his max, to the applause of the crowd in the stands. Larry really should have taught form first before Sandy wakes up with back pain, but it’s too late for that now. She struggles for a bit, but does complete the rep, despite not at all using her legs. Larry has a weight bar laid out for Sandy and encourages her to try and lift for herself. How’s he supposed to be able to impress Sandy with actual bodybuilders around? Sandy, however, is interested and tells SpongeBob to come along.

SpongeBob can barely even lift his stuffed animals before leaving for work. Even before Larry asks this, SpongeBob feels a bit uncomfortable, like he knew exactly what Larry would ask. He asks SpongeBob and Sandy if they want to lift some weights. Sandy, however, is finding SpongeBob’s jokes to be pretty funny, as she is rolling on the floor laughing (literally). It seems pretty clear that SpongeBob isn’t really acting like himself in an effort to impress Sandy. SpongeBob felt bad and tried to suck the sand off of Squidward in “Reef Blower” and tried to quietly build a stand, and then hid behind it once Squidward opened his door, in “BubbleStand”. If anything, SpongeBob has mostly seemed scared or generally misunderstanding of Squidward. He hasn’t even really complained to Patrick about Squidward. Squidward has said some pretty rude things to SpongeBob and even tried to keep him from getting a job that he desired for a very long time for reasons that have nothing to do with his job performance, but SpongeBob hasn’t ever been nasty back. It seems out of place because, to this point, SpongeBob has not shown any form of disdain towards Squidward. Could you keep it down? I’m trying to be boring”. Something starts to seem a bit out of place once SpongeBob mockingly says, while in Squidward “costume”, “Hello, SpongeBob. SpongeBob is clearly trying to grab Sandy’s attention, using the nearby sand to make jokes, most notably impersonating Squidward.

SpongeBob and Sandy are seen enjoying a day at “a stinky mud puddle”, Goo Lagoon, the local beach. The truth is, “Ripped Pants” seems to be an attempt to keep the audience honest and stay engaged, even in the predictable cartoon format. It’s supposed to make it clear, early on, that not every SpongeBob episode is the same. Due to the coloration, he resembles different species of rorquals than blue whale.Though SpongeBob is very much in its infancy, in only the second half of the show’s second week, variety still seems to be highly valued by the SpongeBob team “Ripped Pants” portrays SpongeBob in a different light compared to each previous episode, in a way that feels a bit off to viewers now feeling accustomed to what SpongeBob’s character is supposed to be.He is later seen singing "happy birthday" at the end with SpongeBob's friends and family. He is one of the many guests seen at SpongeBob's birthday party. He is one of the things in the severe rip current. When he hears Patrick making whale sounds, he thinks it is his ex-wife, Martha, calling him until his friend assures him it is not.

At the end, he and the other band members rip their pants just like SpongeBob. The whale plays the drums during the song. He, along with Loser 1 and Loser 2, sing the " Ripped Pants" song with SpongeBob. The whale pops up from underneath the sand and reveals that he was buried in the sand and forgotten to prove him wrong out of sympathy. He makes his most prominent appearance is in his debut "Ripped Pants."Īfter SpongeBob rips his pants off and realizes the mistakes he made, he asks himself if he is the bigger loser on the beach. He has also been portrayed as a businessman in a few of his appearances as well.
